Jean B. Pujol, Jr., age 73, passed away on March 25, 2025, at home in Mandeville, Louisiana.
Jean trained thoroughbred racehorses his entire life and leaves behind a wide circle of enduring friendships in racetracks across the United States.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Heather Tipton (Dean); grandchildren Koral (Quinton), Lilly, Aiden, and Dakota; and great-granddaughters Brielle and Genesis. He also leaves behind his step-son David Newton (Molly); siblings Joe Pujol, Jeanne Ahart (Trace), Jeff Pujol (Becky), and Janice Ogden (Phil); as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will cherish his memory.
Jean was preceded in death by his parents Jean B. Pujol, Sr. and Norma Pujol O'Hara; his brother John Joseph Pujol; step-daughter Sarah Newton; and grandson Logan James Dean Tipton.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jane De Chantal Church, located at 72040 Maple Street in Abita Springs, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2260 W 21st Avenue in Covington.
